Project objectives
- Rehabilitate the former aquatic facility, whose closure had been decided in 2016, and thus provide a service offering for the inhabitants of the area
- Develop a multi-purpose facility, part of whose operation focuses on generating commercial revenues to reduce the facility’s operating deficit
- Benefit, during the procedure, from private companies’ experience in the design, engineering and operation of this type of facility
- Transfer almost all construction and operating risks to a private operator.
Contract features
- Public facility with three pools, including an 8-lane competition pool
- Investment cost: c. €23m
- Contract duration: 25 years of operation by the Concession holder.
